Det kunde mycket väl ha blivit en jacka och några t-shirts ovanpå det. På kvällen kom mina päron - två dagar innan de hade tänkt komma - men jag gjorde ändå Pilates + styrketräning på kvällen som innebar att jag under förra veckan sprang 3 pass och körde 3 styrkepass. Inte illa.

Värre är det med mina knän, som känns rejält ömma. Det är inget farligt, enligt farsan, men det sätter ju lite käppar i hjulen för min träning. Jag tänkte att jag skulle komma igång rejält denna vecka. I stället får det bli en lugn vecka med fler styrkepass.

Nu sitter jag på jobbet med en rykande kopp kaffe. Men inte ens den hjälper mig att piggna till. Jag har noll inspiration i dag och känner inte direkt att jag förtjänar dagens lön. A sa att han brukar gå ut på stan om han blir så här "låst" och lealös. Men vi sitter ju i ett industriområde, så det finns inte direkt någonting att göra.

Jag såg förresten Die Hard 4.0 i går. Mina föräldrar gillar Thrillers och Actionrullar och båda verkade gilla den fjärde filmen med John McClane. Sex And The City kommer jag att förära med ett lite längre omdöme, denna film, däremot, nöjer jag mig med att säga att den är en habil actionrulle med överdrivna actionscener och en något trött och oinspirerad Bruce Willis i rollen som polisman som räddar världen.

Skriftligt omdöme: Sevärd, Justin Long (från favoritserien Ed) är duktig, Timothy Olyphant (Scream 2-mördare) blinkar aldrig och övertygar till en början, men blir lite tröttsam tillslut. Maggie Q är... smokin' hot!

In her role in Face-Off, Swain jams a butterfly knife into someone’s leg.  In her role in this PETA ad, Swain jams the once totally separate fields of pro-animal rights advertising and child pornography together in an unholy union of guilty hotness.  Why is the totally-legal-I-swear Swain playing Lolita in an ad which hopes to prevent animal cruelty?  Well, she did play Lolita in a made for TV movie first, but I prefer to think it’s because I had a dream in which I commanded it.

Joanna Krupa

Joanna Krupa, or “The Krupster” as she’s known to her many friends and lovers (let’s start that pointless rumor), is extremely… talented.  She also has the distinction of being probably the most naked anybody has ever been for a PETA photo shoot.  Generally people have a prop of some sort.  A top hat, a cane.  A bottle of water.  An embarrassed glare.  Or maybe their entire body isn’t visible.  Something.  Not Joanna.  She’s got shoes and a necklace, which is all a true lady ever really needs.

Maggie Q

Maggie Q is best known for being the young-looking chick of ambiguous ethnicity who, when you see her, you can’t quite place where you’ve seen her before, but you want to go back to that place and see her again.  That place was most likely either Mission Impossible III or Live Free and Die Hard.  She also gains points for naming herself after the gadget guy from James Bond.  Nah, her last name used to be Quigley.  See?  She still made the right choice.

Imogen Bailey

For a country tilled in the blood of prisoners, Australia has managed to produce an astounding amount of hot women, of which Imogen Bailey is almost certainly the hottest one named Imogen.  Possibly the hottest overall, too, as is clearly exhibited by her anti-fur ad.  She’s so hot, it almost makes me want to take off my bunny-fur coat and think about replacing my bunny-fur carpeting, seat covers, window shades, toupee and book bindings.  Almost.

Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes would find her way onto any list of Five Hottest Things For Which It Could Possibly Be Argued That Eva Mendes Qualifies.  In fact, even if she hadn’t posed for the above picture, I’d still have been tempted to add her to the list just because it would have felt incomplete otherwise.  Also, to her credit, Ms. Mendes recently managed to do something that no other Hollywood starlet in recent years has managed to pull off:  she checked into rehab with dignity.

Wie nun schon drei Mal, das gleiche Prinzip... ;) :
John McClane (Bruce Willis) ist zurück - und das im Jahr 2007. Von seiner Frau geschiden und kaum mit Bezug zu seiner Tochter, aber immernoch Cop. Nach einem Cyber-Angriff aufs FBI erhält er den Auftrag, den Hacker Matthew Farrell (Justin Long) zum Verhör abzuholen und zum FBI zu schaffen. In dessen Wohnung werden die beiden jedoch angegriffen, was den Beginn einer sich schwierig gestaltenden Schnitzeljagd bis zur Übergabe an den geheimdienst markiert.

Nachdem im ausgebrochenen Chaos, das von Cyber-Terrorist Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant) angerichtet wurde, erstmal gar keine Verwendung für den von McClane angeschleppten Hacker besteht, begibt sich der Polizist mithilfe Farrells selbst auf die Jagd nach den Terroristen. Als die ihn identifizieren, entführen sie seine Tochter. Eine schlechte Idee,denn nun kommt deren alter Herr erst so richtig in Fahrt und gibt Vollgas wie noch nie!

Der vierte Teil der Reihe ist etwas komplett anderes als seine Vorgänger und trotzdem hat er es geschafft ertwas vom Flair der guten alten 80er-Jahre-Action einzufangen. Zwar steht McClane hier nach Samuel L. Jackson wieder ein Partner zur Seite, dem Hacker ist John McClane - von dessen Fachgebiet abgesehen - allerdings deutlich überlegen. So cool wie eh und je meistert der Actionheld überhaupt seine Aufgaben auf dem Weg zur Vernichtung der Terroristen mit dem besten Spruch der Filmgeschichte
Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!
Ich habe den Film zum ersten Mal in Frankreich im Kino gesehen, wo genau dieser Satz, auf den man schon von der ersten Sekunde an hinfiebert, wegsynchronisiert. In der OV ist er ja zum Glück vorhanden :) , ich habe mir aber sagen lassen, dass es ihn in der deutschen Synchro ebenfalls nicht gibt, was bedeutet, dass man diesen Film einfach im O-Ton gucken muss, daran führt kein Weg vorbei!

John McClane überzeugt - wie gasgt - und "kicks ass" wie von GuyzNite prophezeit. Auch Justin Long macht seinen Job sehr gut und gibt den Hacker sehr glaubwürdig. Die Frau, die hier überzeugt und ebenfalls ordentlich Ärsche tritt, ist Maggie Q als Mai, Komplizin und Freundin von Gabriel. Der - also Timothy Olyphant - wiederum kann hier nicht überzeugen und wird vom Rest des Casts in den Schatten gespielt. Schade, aber irgendwie ist er als Terrorist nicht so blendend geeignet.

Die Story über Cyberterrorismus ist etwas flach und nicht die innovativste, überlässt den dadurch frei werdenden Platz aber so viel grandioser Action, dass einem dieser Kritikpukt letztenendes doch vollkommen egal sein kann. Die Action ist unrealistisch, aber sehr hochkarätik und letztere Eigenschaft ist eindeutig die überwiegende.

Stirb Langsam 4.0 war definitiv der Actionkracher des Jahres 2007: so gehörte sich das ja auch, nachdem wir 12 Jahre lang darauf gewartet hatten, dass die unkaputtbare One-Man-Show die Leinwand wieder zum Beben bringen würde. Zum vierten Mal in seiner Paraderolle gelingt ihm dies wieder einmal. Er verliert sich hier nicht in Routine, die er als McClane ja zweifelsohne besitzt, sondern legt noch einen drauf: da schlägt das Actionherz so hoch, dass sich das Infaktrisiko ungemein steigert: Yippie-ya-yeah, Schweinebacke!
10/10 Punkte.

Hostage - Entführt

An accountant (McGregor) is introduced to a mysterious sex club known as The List by his lawyer friend (Jackman). But in this new world, he soon becomes the prime suspect in a woman's disappearance and a multi-million dollar heist.

I can see the underling pitching this to the movie executives: “Powerful men, hot and sexually valuable women, gratuitous strip club scene, money, money, money, and well, Deception!”

And how will this be done? Oh, you know, the usual way – the movie is thoroughly formulaic.

I sat in the theater like a chorus director: “Okay, and now this has to happen, and now this…”

Twenty minutes into the movie I thought, “Can I go now?” But no, I couldn’t go. I paid $9 for this crap.

Good thing I got the $1 student discount. $10 for crap would have pissed-me-the-fuck-off.

So I sat there for almost two hours waiting for the clunky plot devices to finish. And just in case anyone missed anything the movie dropped hints with the grace of a bitch-slap, “LOOK AT THIS. THIS IS IMPORTANT. HERE: ANOTHER SHOT. DO YOU REMEMBER THIS FROM 10 MINUTES AGO? CLUE! CLUEE! CLUEEEEE!”

Okay, we get it bubba, damn.

L'agente John McClane è divenuto detective, ha una figlia dalla celebre ex-moglie Holly Gennaro e continua a svolgere il proprio ruolo di poliziotto al limite sempre nel "posto sbagliato al momento sbagliato".
Il film parte con un gruppo "terroristico" molto ben organizzato che invece di usare bombe et simili sfrutta il sapere ed il potere informatico, prendendo in mano il controllo di satelliti, media e tutto ciò che è pilotato attraverso i computer. Gli hacker usati dall'organizzazione diventano in breve inutili e pertanto eliminabili. Se ne salva soltanto uno (Matt Farrell / Justin Long) proprio grazie a McClane e da qui si evolve il seguito rocambolesco tra esplosioni, incidenti e scene davvero spettacolari sempre sottolineate dallo humour sardonico del sempreverde Bruce Willis.
Il film regge, il personaggio è ancora credibile e grazie alle trovate pirotecniche e volutamente esagerate (al limite della parodia, direi)  unite alla simpatia del protagonista, la pellicola è godibile, scorrevole e divertente.

Nel cast anche Mary Elizabeth Winstead (qui nel ruolo della figlia di Willis vista anche in "Grindhouse: A prova di morte"), Maggie Q, Tim "Tuvok" Russ, Timothy Olyphant nel ruolo del "cattivo" e un divertito Kevin Smith nei panni di Warlock - hacker/nerd/fan di Guerre Stellari.

Un film adrenalinico come i precedenti e davvero divertente.

Hugh Jackman (X-Men, Van Helsing, and The Prestige) plays a pretty good villian. I'd like to see him in more roles like this one. Ewan McGregor (Star Wars, The Island) plays an accountant, unconvincingly. I'd like to see him stick to his light-saber bearing roles. I think he's a decent actor, but he's got to choose his roles more carefully.

First-time director Marcel Langenegger did an OK job, I suppose. The failure of this movie is on the writer, Mark Bomback, who also did Godsend and Live Free or Die Hard (the 4th intsallation). I liked Die Hard, so maybe this guy should stick to pure action-writing.

Will Faye return? This has to be the question on every fan's mind, and no one (perhaps even Faye herself) really has the answer. We've heard from her manager, Katie Chen (Chen Jiaying 陈家瑛), from her husband, Li Yapeng (李亚鹏), but we've actually never heard from Faye herself. The possibility that she will come out of retirement to perform is on everyone's mind, and most fans seem to agree that there's some hope that she will. Even now, as the Summer Olympics in Beijing looms closer, scheduled to open on Faye's birthday (August 8), the people of China, especially those in Beijing, and her fans around the world are still hoping that Faye will accept the organizing committee's invitation to perform in the opening ceremonies.

Despite a nearly three year hiatus, Faye is not only on the Chinese media radar but at the top of the newsmaker list. In a recent video interview, Maggie Q, sensational young Hong Kong film star, says that Faye is big in China and that the second best isn't even close. Faye can't step out for a brief shop without the media descending on her, and even a tiny glimpse captured on video or a still is headline entertainment news for days throughout the Chinese-speaking world, with images shown over and over again. Rather than lessen her appeal, her absence has indeed made the fans grow fonder of her.

เนื้อหาอันว่าด้วยความไร้สาระ ไร้ที่สิ้นสุด แห่งสงคราม นั้นถูกนำเสนอมานับครั้งไม่ถ้วน แม้ Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon จะนำเสนอเรื่องราวอย่างเดียวกัน อาจจะมีลีลาซ้ำซากไปบ้าง แต่รวมๆ ก็ยังถือว่าอยุ่ในระดับน่าสนใจ ส่วนที่ช่วยผลักดันเนื้อหา ให้ชัดเจนขึ้นมาได้ก็คือ การแสดงของดารานำอย่างหลิวเต๋อหัว และหงจินเเป่า ที่สะท้อนภาพของคน ที่ใช้ชีวิต และอุดมการณ์อยู่ในสนามรบ ออกมาได้อย่างน่าเชื่อถือ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งการเปรียบเทียบระหว่าง ยอดมหาวีระบุรุษอย่างจู่ล่ง และคนธรรมดาสามารถ ที่ไม่สามารถสลักชื่อไว้ในประวัติศาสตร์ ลั่วผิงอัน ที่สุดท้ายแล้ว ก็มีชีวิตที่ไม่ได้แตกต่างกันนัก เหยียบย่ำบนสนามรบผืนเดียวกัน และสิ้นสุดหนทางแห่งนักรบ ในสมรภูมิสุดท้ายร่วมกัน

อย่างไรก็ตามหนังยังคง แสดงออกถึง ปัญหาในขั้นตอนการเล่าเรื่อง และสร้างความน่าเชื่อถือ อยู่ไม่น้อยเลย ประเด็นที่ถูกพูดถึงกันอย่างกว้างขวางที่สุด ก็คือความซื่อตรงต่อต้นฉบับ ต้นฉบับในที่นี้ครอบคลุมไปถึง นิยายสามก๊ก (Romancing of Three Kingdoms) ของหลอจงกว้าน รวมไปถึงข้อเท็จจริงทางประวัติศาสตร์ หนังมีการเพิ่มตัวละครใหม่ อย่างลั่วผิงอัน และโจวอิง ขึ้นมาเป็นตัวละครหลัก หรือปรับเทียบบทบาทตัวละครที่มีอยู่เดิม ที่เห็นได้ชัดน่าจะเป็นตัวละครที่ชื่อว่า เตงจี๋ ที่ตามข้อมูลแล้ว มีตำแหน่งหน้าที่ และผลงานอยู่ในงานจำพวก การทูต และการเจรจา แต่ในหนังกลับถูกปรับเปลียนให้เป็นนายทหารคนสนิทของจูล่ง

ในหมู่รายละเอียดหลายประการที่ถูกเปลี่ยนแปลงไป ที่สำคัญน่าจะเป็นรายละเอียด ในชีวิตประวัติของตัวเอกอย่างจูล่งเอง อาทิเช่น หนังเปลี่ยนแปลงชีวิตภูมิหนังของจูล่งไปมากพอสมควร เขาเข้าร่วมกับกองทัพเล่าปี่ในฐานะนายทหาร ไม่ใช่ทหารเลว, ข้อมูลด้านครอบครัว รวมถึงวาระสุดท้ายของ จูล่ง ล้วนผิดแผกจากที่เรา เคยรับรู้

เอาเข้าจริงๆ ความเปลี่ยนแปลงเหล่านี้พอจะเป็นสิ่งที่เข้าใจได้นะครับ สามก๊กเป็นวรรณกรรมที่ดังแปลงมาจากประวัติศาสตร์ ทั้งในรูปแบบบันทึก (ที่ให้ความสำคัญกับข้อเท็จจริง) และวรรรณกรรม (ที่ให้ความสำคัญกับความบันเทิง) มากมายหลายฉบับ แต่ละฉบับก็นำมาซึ่งรายละเอียด และการตีความอันหลากหลาย การตีความใหม่ และปรับเปรียบรายละเอียดใน Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon ก็เรียกว่ายังอยู่ในระดับที่พอรับได้

สิ่งที่ดูจะเป็นปัญหามากกว่า การ เปลี่ยนแปลงเนื้อเรื่องเสียอีกก็คือ งานศิลป์ทั้งหลายในหนัง ไม่ว่าจะเป็น การออกแบบฉาก อาวุธ และเครื่องแต่งกายในเรื่อง เดเนียล ลี ผู้กำกับนั้นมีพื้นแพ การเติบโตในอาชีพมาจากสายงาน ผู้กำกับศิลป์เป็นทุนเดิมอยู่แล้ว

งานในภาคงานสร้างหลายๆ อย่างของหนัง ทั้งการทำผม เสื้อผ้า ฉาก แม้กระทั่งการกำกับคิวบู๊ (ดูแล้วชวนให้นึกถึงงานเก่าของหงจินเป่า สมัยรับผิดชอบงานกำกับคิวบู๊ให้กับ Ashes of Time อยู่ไม่น้อย) และการถ่ายภาพ ฯลฯ ล้วนออกมาด้วยแนวคิด ในการฉีกหนีจากรูปแบบเดิมๆ ของหนังสามก๊ก (และรวมถึงหนังสงครามย้อนยุคโดยทั่วไป) ผลงานที่ออกมานั้นดูแปลกตาดี แต่ในทางตรงกันข้าม กลับทำลายความน่าเชื่อถือของหนัง พลังในฐานะหนังประวัติศาสตร์ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งพลังของเรื่องราวในฐานะ สามก๊ก ที่ถูกลดทอนไปไม่น้อย

ความผิดหวังประการสำคัญของหนัง น่าจะอยู่ที่ความคาดหวังของคนดู โดยเฉพาะแฟนๆ สามก๊ก ที่รอคอยการเรื่องราวที่คุ้นชิน และการปรากฏตัวของ ตัวละครระดับ "ซุปเปอร์สตาร์" จากสามก๊ก และเนื่องด้วย Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon เป็นหนังที่เน้นไปที่ตัวละครของจูล่งเป็นหลัก ตัวละครอื่นๆ อย่างเล่าปี่ กวนอู เตียวฮุย หรือโจโฉ จึงมีบทบาทอยู่ในระดับ "ประกอบ" หรือ "รับเชิญ" เท่านั้น ซ้ำร้ายตัวละครบางตัวก็ถูกนำเสนอ แตกต่างจากที่เราเคยสัมผัส ทั้งในแง่ของบุคลิค หรือภาพลักษณ์

ตัวละครที่ดูจะมีบทบาทพอให้จับต้องได้บางก็คือ จูกัดเหลียง ผมชอบการปรากฏตัวครั้งแรกของ ขงเบ้งนะครับ ดูน่าเกรงขราม ครุ่นคิด อัจฉริยะ ภายใต้ภาพลักาณ์ของคนธรรดา แตกต่างจากภาพของ ความเหนือมนุษย์ หรือผู้วิเศษอย่างภาพปรกติของขงเบ้งที่เราคุ้นชินกัน

Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon เป็นผลงานการสร้างของบริษัทจากจีนแผ่นดินใหญ่ และเกาหลี โดยทีมงานฮ่องกง ที่เห็นได้ชัดว่าคาดหวังจากตลาดจีนแผ่นดินใหญ่เป็นสำคัญ หนังทำท่าทำทางว่าจะพอไปได้ น่าเสียดายที่ความล้นเกินของงานสร้าง ทำลายความน่าเชื่อถือ และน้ำหนักของหนังไปไม่น้อย การเล่าเรื่องผ่านช่วงเวลาอันยาวนาน ตัวละครมากมายหลายตัว ก็ยังแสดงออกถึงความไม่ราบรื่น จุดหักมุมตอนท้ายเรื่อง ไม่โน้มน้าม ไม่น่าเชื่อถือ และที่สำคัญที่สุด ปัญหาเหล่านี้ดูจะมีผลต่อความล้มเหลว ในการเสนอภาพของมหาสงครามอย่างสามก๊ก ที่ไม่สามารถจำลองความ ความยิ่งใหญ่ ออกมาได้อย่างที่ควรจะเป็น

JENNY HU, 1960s Shaw Brothers actress, very, very beautiful, of German and Chinese descent.

She had been nicknamed the Audrey Hepburn of the East and she shone in many of her screen roles. She was truly versatile and had played a gamut of roles from the sweet nubile gal, the naughty seductress and the lovelorn mistress.

I think that in some kind of poetic way, JENNY HU was not only an accomplished actress, but a hopeless romantic, devoted to her husband and son.

In other words, despite her fame and fortune during her hey days, she was willing to step down and lead a family life and migrated to the USA in the late 70s.

MAGGIE Q, of mixed Vietnamese and Polish-Irish American bloodline, is multi-talented and has already carved a name for herself in Hollywood starring alongside big wig actors such as Bruce Willis and Tom Cruise.

"Now that Hollywood has open doors for me, you are expected to do better than anyone else in Hong Kong."

MAGGIE was referring to the hazy days when she was just a mere supporting actress in Hong Kong who played second fiddle to fickle Hong Kong actresses. She was shunned by the Colony's paparazzi. Sweet is the revenge now, after making her foray into Hollywood, the same paparazzi who had been ignoring her, are pursuing her now for juicy bits of news.

Life is real and you are as successful as your last role. MAGGIE Q is making her own way and will not rest on her laurels.
